For What It's Worth… a Photo is Worth a Thousand Words

…or it’s not.

Have you ever noticed how people with titles have their images painted, etched or photographed? They hire a master creative.They hire someone who will make them look stunning, someone who will capture their dignity and worth.  

Have you ever noticed the Victorias Secret models and stood in awe at their flawless skin, perfect physiques and ravishing beauty? They too had the advantage of a professional photographer, a creative who understood lighting, angles and posing. If the model had a zit the day of the shoot, the retoucher magically made it disappear.

Have you ever had a “friend" take a snap photo of you and then post it to social media before you could object? Did the image make you feel like a rock star or did it humiliate you?

What most people fail to understand is that a good camera whether it is the latest Iphone or an expensive DSLR does not constitute a good image. A camera is a tool which needs to be understood. A great image is one that positively engages the subject, under the best lighting conditions, from the best angles … and so on and so forth. A great image is a recipe of ideals and understanding. A stunning portrait should make the subject feel every bit as important as the diplomat and as beautiful as a model.

 So hire someone to shoot your wedding, your grad, your newborn or you and you alone, because you’re worth it.
